Study Abroad Conference 2017

Join us for the SJC Study Abroad Conference on Friday, October 19, 2018.

Registration/Breakfast: 9-9:35 a.m.
Conference: 9:40 a.m.-2:30 p.m. in the McGann Conference Center at SJC Long Island.

Attend or present at this year’s conference and learn firsthand how our own SJC students’ lives, careers, and communities have been transformed by studying abroad in places such as Argentina, England, Australia, Italy, France, Poland, Romania and Nicaragua. Students will exchange information and ideas in a scholarly manner with the entire College community in a way that fosters a deeper understanding of what it is that makes global learning such an important part of undergraduate education. In addition to paper presentations, you’ll enjoy student exhibits, ranging from paintings and sculptures to cultural artifacts.

We are pleased to announce that SJC alumnus Julia Sergison '16 will be this year's keynote speaker. Julia is the Director of Development and she runs the daily operations at the Charlie's Foundation. The Charlie's Foundation teaches children English through sports, which prepares them for the local tourist-based economy.

Submit study abroad photographs or peruse the submissions.

Lunch will be served.

Email Lisa Tafuro at [email protected] for additional information.
