Addictions Prevention and Treatment Counseling

Enhance your resume with this valuable New York state credential

At the event, you will:

  • Learn about career opportunities in this field, presented by Brooklyn substance abuse counseling professionals in detox units, outpatient centers and methadone clinics.
  • Hear how our graduates became CASACs (Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselors) starting with coursework at St. Joseph’s College.
  • Meet with human services professors and admissions counselors who will assist you in planning out your program, which usually takes just 14 months.

St. Joseph’s College has been granted approval by the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) to offer the 350 hour CASAC T coursework, the first step toward the final CASAC, after reaching the required number of hours training in the field. This coursework can also be applied to a B.S. in Human Services at St. Joseph’s College
