St. George/Clark Residence
Offered through a partnership with Educational Housing Services, the St. George Residence is located in historic Brooklyn Heights near many major subway lines, making it minutes away from both the campus and Manhattan.
Along with programming specifically targeted to the resident student population, there are activities planned on campus by the College's Campus Activities Board and the more than 20 clubs and organizations. There is always something happening. Students can view the vast opportunities available by signing up for SJC Engage.
Every St. Joseph’s College room at the St. George Residence is a double occupancy space furnished with either captain’s beds with drawers or beds and dressers. Additionally, the rooms are equipped with desks, desk chairs and wardrobes/closet. A full bathroom, refrigerator, microwave and cable TV are also provided in every room.

What is included in a room?
All St. Joseph’s College rooms are double occupancy spaces furnished with a regular twin sized bed, dresser, desks, desk chairs and wardrobes/closet. A full bathroom, refrigerator, microwave and cable TV are also provided within the room.
What is there for students to do?
The Office of Residence Life strives to create a community amongst residents. The office uses these five pillars as the cornerstone to the programming that is provided.

- Community Engagement- create connections within the Residence Hall as well as the St. Joseph's College community through involvement.

Is there a meal plan available?
While there is currently not a meal plan available, students living in the St. George have access to the community kitchen located on the 1st floor which has multiple stovetops and ovens. Students in the past have enjoyed using this space with roommates and friends to cook communal meals. Each room also comes equipped with a full fridge and microwave. Aside from the amenities in the building, Brooklyn is home to restaurants that feature a wide variety of cuisines from all over the world and that cater to specific dietary restrictions.
How far away is the Residence Hall from campus?
The St. George is a short fifteen minute ride on the SJC shuttle from campus. Located at 100 Henry Street 1.5 miles down Myrtle Avenue it is four stops on the subway, or a brisk twenty minute walk. Aside from being close to campus, the residence hall is one stop away from downtown Manhattan and subways that can take you anywhere and everywhere in the city.
Am I able to invite guests who live outside the hall?
Currently due to COVID-19 restrictions guests are not allowed in the St. George Residence.
When is Check In and Check Out?
Students will be contacted in the summer with an exact check in date.
The Check Out date for each semester is 24 hrs after the last day of finals. Extensions can be made on a case by case basis.
Can I remain in the Residence Hall over Winter Break?
All students will be expected to vacate the residence hall during the winter break. Special accommodations to stay over winter break are made in advance on a case by case basis.
SJC students are permitted to leave any belongings they will not need over winter break in their room
Is Summer housing available?
Through our campus partners, SJC can help residents secure summer housing accommodations.
How does payment work for a student’s room?
Students are billed by semester after submitting a $500 deposit and signing their housing contract. Housing Contracts are four month terms August-December and January-May. A monthly payment plan is also available.
