Nursing, Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Concentration

Nursing, Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Concentration

Brooklyn’s school for new and working nurses introduces its newest offering.

With rising age expectancy comes the need for educated adult-gerontology primary care nurse practitioners (AGPCNPs). With the population of approximately 10 million people (in our area) of which approximately 15 percent are over the age of 65, the need for adult gerontology primary care nurse practitioners is evident.

To address this issue the role of the non-physician clinician, such as the nurse practitioner, needs to be enhanced by developing new educational and training programs which is the goal of this graduate program. If you're interested in joining us at SJC Brooklyn, then you're interested in quality primary-care-service training that keeps pace with current trends and practices.

St. Joseph's College M.S. in Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner program responds to emerging national demographics and policies in healthcare.

Taught by experienced nursing faculty who are career practitioners from Brooklyn, Manhattan and its surrounding boroughs, we'll ensure you achieve the highest levels of nursing that you're capable of.
