Advertising, public relations, consumer motivation, marketing research and knowledge of your audience — all play a major part in creating an effective marketing strategy. SJC Brooklyn's marketing degree provides the necessary skills to promote a specific product, enhance a corporate or institutional brand, generate good will for a client, advance the goals of a capital or political campaign and more.
Combined with business and accounting courses, our extensive marketing curriculum provides a comprehensive education, preparing students for several career paths, including market research and analysis, sales, advertising, development and public relations.
Marketing Major Concentrations
The SJC Brooklyn Department of Business Administration offers marketing majors two optional concentrations: sports management and finance. Sports management topics cover sports law, facilities management, marketing and planning. The finance concentration includes investment analysis and management, money and banking, international finance and insurance.
Flexible Scheduling and Credit for Experience
Creating a schedule that fits into your busy life has never been easier. Regardless of your age, work schedule or other commitments, at St. Joseph’s, we offer flexible scheduling options — including evening classes — that can fit the busy lifestyle of any student. In fact, SJC offers students the chance to participate in the Prior Experiential Learning Assessment (PELA) Program, which gives you the opportunity to apply for credit for the experiential learning you have acquired during your career. Validated learning, not the experience alone, is the basis for awarding up to 27 PELA credits.
