Health Services is committed to helping you learn positive behaviors in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
We understand how living and attending school in an urban environment can affect your health and how you take care of yourself. Our staff strives to bring you the most relevant and accurate information while respecting your cultural needs and health behaviors. We work with the entire St. Joseph's University network and the surrounding community to bring you dynamic programming, services, supports and resources to help you flourish and achieve your health goals. Any student with a current St. Joseph's University ID has access to all of the following services:
- Emergency first aid
- Immunization clinic
- Sexual health counseling
- Health screenings
- Health and nutrition counseling
- Over-the-counter medications and products
These services are performed by a Registered Professional Nurse. Please call the Office of Health Services to schedule an appointment at 718.940.5853 or visit the office in Tuohy Hall, Room 202. Please see our brochure for more information.
Health Services is also responsible for collecting and maintaining student immunization and other health records. Students are legally required to provide proof of immunization prior to attending the University.
Copies of health records can be provided to students who have graduated or are transferring. If you attended the Brooklyn campus over the past five years and need a copy of your immunization records, you may request an immunization transcript by completing the Authorization to Release Information form. You may fax or email this form to us. We encourage you call our office at 718.940.5851 to confirm that we have your immunization record on file prior to submitting your request.
