Clare Rose Playhouse Presents

October 31, 2012

PATCHOGUE, N.Y. - November 1, 2012 - The Clare Rose Playhouse, a community theater located on the Long Island Campus of St. Josephs College, will continue its 2012-13 season with the comedy The Dinner Party. The show will run from November 2-18.

The Dinner Party, a unique comedy by Neil Simon, dabbles in the absurd, mysterious and obscure. Trapped in a private dining room of one of Paris premium restaurants, five characters speculate as to who brought them together while they can only chew over what the mysterious persons motives for the gathering could be.

Individual tickets for the show are priced at $15; $12 for students and seniors. Show times are 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 3 p.m. on Sundays. There will be no performance on November 17. For more information, call the box office at 631.654.0199.

The Clare Rose Playhouse, which serves as a major teaching facility for the Colleges theater courses, is accessible via the South Service Road of Sunrise Highway, just east of Exit 52 (Waverly Avenue) in Patchogue, on the northeast corner of the campus of St. Josephs College. A former cottage converted in 1985 through the generosity and guidance of the man for whom it is named, the Playhouse serves as a major teaching facility for the Colleges theater courses and a training ground for young actors. The Playhouse is the site of community theater productions of musicals, dramas, comedies, cabaret acts, musical performances, dance troupes and comedians.
