March 26, 2015

PATCHOGUE, N.Y. – March 26, 2015 – The Department of Athletics at St. Joseph’s College (SJC) will be hosting Little League Day, a family-friendly event beginning at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 18 at the College’s Athletic Field Complex in Patchogue.

Children who play little league are invited to cheer on the SJC Golden Eagles softball team as they play Mount Saint Mary College at 1 p.m. The first 100 little leaguers who arrive in uniform will receive a gift and will be invited on the field during the National Anthem.

“The Department of Athletics at SJC is always looking for ways to give back to the Patchogue community for supporting our athletic teams and the college as a whole,” said Shantey Hill, assistant vice president and senior athletics director at SJC. “This is a great opportunity to provide our neighbors with a firsthand look at our state-of-the-art athletic complex and the superb work of our student-athletes.”

The event is free and open to the public. SJC’s Athletic Field Complex is located at 246 Sunrise Highway, South Service Road in Patchogue. For more information, contact Shantey Hill at 631.687.1445.
