SJC Announces Articulation Agreement with Nassau Community College

May 17, 2019

PATCHOGUE, N.Y. – May 17, 2019 – St. Joseph’s College (SJC) is pleased to announce the following addendum to an existing articulation agreement with Nassau Community College (NCC) that will continue to allow students to transfer to SJC as full-time students after completing degrees at NCC.

The newly-established addendum is for the transfer students from NCC’s A.A. in Human Services: Community Service and Social Welfare program to SJC’s B.S. in Human Services program.

“The articulation agreements we have with the local community colleges allow students to seamlessly transfer to four-year degree programs at St. Joseph’s,” said Gigi Lamens, vice president for enrollment management at SJC Long Island. “Our continued partnerships help students stay on track and reach their educational and career goals. We look forward to continuing these partnerships for many years to come.”

SJC’s B.S. in Human Services leads to a diverse collection of career opportunities, including social work, mental health counseling and human services administration. The program includes specialized courses in addictions counseling, case management, family and child welfare, and gerontology. In addition, field placements are included in the course of study, thus paving the way to a position in the field.
